Grand Bay, AL – August 28, 2025 – Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists, the Gulf Coast’s largest and most trusted orthopedic practice, is proud to announce the opening of its first clinic in Alabama, located in Grand Bay. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Bienville’s nearly 40-year history of delivering leading orthopedic care to the region. To launch this new chapter, Bienville also welcomes William Christopher Patton, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, as the clinic’s provider.
The new Grand Bay clinic, located at 10075 Grand Bay Wilmer Rd S., Grand Bay, AL 36541, brings Bienville’s tradition of patient-centered care and surgical excellence to a broader community. By establishing its first location outside of Mississippi, Bienville is expanding access to advanced musculoskeletal care for patients across South Alabama and beyond.
Dr. Patton earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga Unit, and pursued advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation & Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. Prior to joining Bienville, he practiced at Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic in Mobile, where he served on the Board of Directors and as a team physician for Cottage Hill Christian Academy.

Dr. Patton is dual board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. His specialties include sports medicine, general orthopedics, arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder and knee reconstruction.
