Amanda Hansen, a board-certified Physician Assistant, joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in June 2023 and is serving as our dedicated provider for our Orange Grove (Gulfport) Ortho Urgent Care clinic. Amanda’s academic skills and love for sports took root at Seton Hall University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree while also making a name for herself in Division I Volleyball. Amanda’s passion for sports led her to coach national amateur athletes, establishing her as a true sports enthusiast.
Determined to make an impact in healthcare, Amanda pursued her education further by completing the Physician Assistant program and earning a Master of Science degree at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. Starting her career in Houston, Texas, Amanda worked in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Surgery. She played an integral role on the medical team for collegiate rugby tournaments, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to athletes’ well-being. Today, Amanda works in our Bienville Ortho Urgent Care- Orange Grove location providing urgent orthopaedic care for children and adults.
Residing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with her husband, Amanda is on a mission to enhance healthcare access in her community. With her extensive background in orthopaedic specialties, she’s poised to bring top-notch care to the residents of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
